The fall season brought many activities to the Centre. Clients and staff participated in the community led Truth and Reconciliation walk. They also made good use of the open water, fishing using nets and poles. Hunting for partridge and moose brought the families out onto the land with teachings about the importance of taking only what they need, and cleaning and preparing the success of their hunts. The parents and children were full of laughter as they learned to improve their hunting aim and enjoyed learning more about the animals that live on the land they call home.
With the extended fall weather, staff and clients were able to gather for feasts with outdoor cooking and celebrate with fireworks off the dock. During the fall season, clients celebrated Thanksgiving by sharing a large feast of traditional foods and took turns shar-ing what they were grateful for in their lives.
